Copyright and takedowns
How to report a photo that shouldn't be here.
The short version
People here may only upload a photo of themselves. If someone has uploaded a photo of you, or a photo you hold the copyright in, tell us and we will remove it. You do not need a lawyer or a legal form to do that, and we will not ask you to justify it at length.
How to report it
Email cupidstrickapp@gmail.com with enough for us to find the image and act on it:
- What the photo is, and where you saw it.
- Whether you are the person in it, the copyright holder, or acting for one of them.
- How to reach you.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that what you have told us is accurate.
Faces in the game that are not member photos are synthetic and depict no real person. If one nonetheless resembles you closely enough to trouble you, write to the same address and we will retire it. That is not a legal obligation we are conceding, it is just the right thing to do.
What we do about it
We aim to remove or disable a reported image within one business day of reading the report, before deciding anything else. Removal here is real removal: the standardized image and its face embedding both go, on the same path account deletion uses.
We tell the account holder what was removed and why. If they believe it was their own photo and the report was mistaken, they can reply and we will look again. Accounts that upload another person's photo lose access.
If it is about you, not copyright
You do not need to own a copyright to get your face out of here. If you appear in an image you did not upload, that is enough on its own. The same address works, and so does the face-data policy if you want to understand what is stored before you write.
