The rules of the game.
Eligibility
18 or older, resident in a US state we serve (currently everywhere except Illinois, Texas, and Washington). One account per person, and the selfie has to be you.
What this is
A game of self-knowledge about attraction: your type, an estimate of reciprocity, and a score for how well you read interest. It is not matchmaking advice, therapy, or a promise of romantic outcomes. Estimates are estimates. We label them and mean it.
Being a decent human
Real photos of yourself only. No screenshots or sharing of other members' images. People consented to appear in the game, not on your group chat. No harassment through any channel about anything you saw here. We remove accounts that break this.
What we owe you
Honest scores (we never inflate or deflate anything for engagement), invisible negatives (nobody learns who passed on them), and working deletion. Where a paid tier exists, it buys depth and reveals of positive signal. Never manipulation of results.
Billing
Plus is a monthly subscription through Stripe, cancellable anytime and effective at period end. Deleting your account cancels access; refunds follow platform rules.
Founding memberships
A founding membership is a single prelaunch payment that gives you the Plus feature set at no further charge for as long as Cupid's Trick operates as a service. It is not a claim on your lifetime or ours: if the service is discontinued, the membership ends with it, and we will give notice and refund any unused prepaid time we still hold. It covers Plus as it exists and as it evolves; if we ever add a genuinely separate premium product, it may be priced separately. Founding features carry the same fair-use limits as paid Plus, including the rate limits on AI conversations and reports. One membership grants Plus to one account: the first account that signs in with the verified email address used at purchase. It is not transferable or resellable. Full refund on request within 14 days of purchase.
The boring-but-real parts
Service provided as-is; we may change or discontinue features. Liability limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. Disputes under the law of our home state. If any clause fails, the rest stand.
